My Year in Review

This year has been a whirlwind of change, unexpected turns, and incredible blessings.

A Year of Unexpected Turns

It began with so much promise and excitement—a new job opportunity that had me packing and preparing for a move to Jackson Hole. I was filled with hope and determination, imagining the possibilities that awaited me in a new place. But as often happens in life, things didn’t go according to plan.

Just when I thought I had my future mapped out, life redirected me to Washington State. I embraced the change, recalibrated my goals, and set my sights on settling in La Center. The move felt like a fresh start, a chance to rebuild. But as I stood on the brink of this new chapter, every plan fell through at the last minute. It was a season of uncertainty, filled with questions and setbacks, where each step forward felt like it led to another closed door.

“The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps” (Proverbs 16:9).

A Blessing in Disguise

Yet, in what felt like chaos, God revealed His perfect timing. When I was questioning everything and wondering what came next, He brought the man I love back into my life. It was an unexpected and beautiful gift—a reminder that sometimes the greatest blessings come when we least expect them. Together, we began the journey of blending our families. This process, while filled with its own unique challenges, has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. With love, faith, and commitment, we’ve worked to create a foundation of trust and unity for our family.

“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins” (1 Peter 4:8).

Embracing God’s Plan

This year, what started with so much unpredictability became one of the most transformative of my life. It taught me resilience and the importance of surrendering to God’s plan.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).

When my carefully laid plans crumbled, I discovered a greater purpose waiting to unfold.

The Joy of Engagement

The highlight of my year? Getting engaged to the man I adore. This step forward has filled my heart with hope, joy, and the promise of new beginnings. It’s a reminder that even in the midst of uncertainty, love and faith can light the way.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Reflections and Gratitude

As I reflect on the past twelve months, I’m struck by how each twist and turn brought me closer to where I’m meant to be. It’s been a year of growth, learning, and deep gratitude.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).

Looking back, this year has been a powerful reminder of God’s faithfulness and how His plans are always better than anything I could imagine. Here’s to trusting the journey, embracing the unexpected, and opening our hearts to the blessings that come when we let go and let God lead the way.
